DUT, through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), is excited to bring the fabulously fun award-winning Broadway show Legally Blonde - The Musical to the Decatur Civic Center stage on November 14, 15, 16 & 21, 22, 23 (Fri-Sat 7pm, Sun 2pm).

Based on the original Legally Blonde movie starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, Legally Blonde The Musical follows the life of Elle Woods, who appears to have it all, but her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner, who she expects is about to propose, dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law.

 

Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove to the world that she's much more than her hot pink signature color.

The DUT cast for this show, featuring amazing local talent, will deliver vocal performances that will be unforgettable, as well as dance numbers that will impress the most diehard, experienced dance fans.

As a special casting note: DUT is thrill to announce the casting of Poppi, our fabulous long-hair chihuahua, in her debut role as Bruiser Woods - Elle's beloved pet (uhm... "family member"). Poppi (aka T-Rex), who was born without front legs, is sure to steal the show!
